Personal Experiences |

| When people receive a revelation or experience, from within themselves, or a truth that is quite profound, it is not uncommon for them to want to share or publicise this experience. Unfortunately with Subud people this does not always follow. Often they may not want to share it outside of Subud as it can be difficult for a person not "opened" to relate to it. These experiences can also be very personal. It is not possible for anybody to know what it is like to receive the latihan unless they have experienced it. It is only then that explanations and peoples' experiences can begin to be understood. It is the same if a mother tries to explain what giving birth is like to girl who has not had a child. Or what communion with a partner is like to someone who has no experience of this. However many people feel it is necessary to form a mental picture of something to feel comfortable with it even if it cannot be accurate. Therefore below are included a few accounts of personal experiences of individual Subud members. Sometimes the name of the person may be made obscure in respect of that persons wish for privacy. | ||
